BRIEF DETAIL OF THE ENACTMENT

This enactment provides for fixing of minimum rates of wages in certain employments. Employees are entitled not less than the minimum rates of wages fixed by the government. Minimum wages is normally consisting of basic plus DA (special allowances). DA is based on the rise and fall of cost of living indexation and normally changes half yearly. Employer is liable to pay the difference of wages paid and minimum wages
